SGA is located in the center of Southern California's San Gabriel Valley. The Academy provides a quality Christian education, serving students in the Greater Los Angeles area. The forerunner of SGA was the Alhambra Church School that began in 1933. To better serve its students and community, the school moved to its present location in 1937. Upon opening the 9th grade in 1956, the name SGA was first used. The first twelfth-grade class graduated in 1960 with twelve members. Throughout the years since its first graduating class, San Gabriel Academy has issued diplomas to over 2,600 students.

Since SGA is their children's alma mater, DAVID AND MARY CHOW FOUNDATION supported the very place that's closed to their heart, providing financial aid - tuition to the students.

Because of DAVID AND MARY CHOW FOUNDATION’s generosity and commitment to the young people, several families were able to receive this financial aide and attend the Academy. For the past three years, the Foundation has assisted six students, who are currently attending Adventist University.

All this was made possible by the Foundation yearly commitment to SGA. The Foundation goal is to continue supporting these students, providing them a better future and gives the world our future leaders of tomorrow.
